1. These terms

These terms apply to americankaratecenter.com and everything on it. By using the site you accept them. If you do not, please do not use the site — call us on 804-323-1954 instead and we will happily talk to you.

“We”, “us” and “the school” mean American Karate Center, 10910 Southlake Ct, North Chesterfield, VA 23236.

2. What this website is

It is an information page about the school: our programs, our schedule, our instructor, and how to reach us. That is all it does.

What it is not:

• Not a booking or enrolment system. Sending the contact form does not reserve a place, book a class, or sign you up for anything. It starts a conversation.
• Not a payment system. Nothing on this website takes money. You cannot buy a membership or pay a fee here.
• Not a contract for training. Class times, program descriptions and anything about pricing on this site are information, not a binding offer. Schedules change and classes fill. What we agree with you in person is what counts.
• Not medical, health or fitness advice. Martial arts training is physical. Whether it is right for you or your child is a conversation for you, your doctor, and our instructors — not a web page.

3. Using the site

You are welcome to read the site, share links to it, and contact us through it. Please do not:

• Use it to break the law, or to harass, threaten or defraud anyone.
• Try to break into it, overload it, or get at parts of it that are not public — including the staff admin area.
• Scrape, harvest or bulk-copy the site or its contents, by hand or by machine.
• Send us anything through the form that carries a virus or malicious code.

We can restrict access to the site, or to the contact form, if it is being misused.

4. The contact form

When you send us a message, please give us information that is accurate and that is yours to give. Two specific requests:

• Do not send health or medical details — injuries, conditions, medications, anything of that kind. There is a note on the form saying the same thing. Bring those to an instructor in person, where they can actually be acted on.
• Do not use this form for anything urgent. Your message is saved for staff to read the next time they check; nobody is alerted the moment it arrives. For anything time-sensitive, call 804-323-1954.

Messages you send are not confidential and are not privileged. What we do with them is set out in our Privacy Policy.

If you are enquiring on behalf of a child, please send it as the parent or guardian. This site is intended for adults.

5. Training happens at the school

Nothing on this website replaces, changes or waives any agreement, membership form, release or waiver you sign at American Karate Center in person. If this page and something you signed at the school ever disagree, the paperwork you signed at the school wins.

6. What belongs to whom

The text, photographs, video, logo, layout and design of this site belong to American Karate Center or to the people we licensed them from. You may view the site and link to it. You may not copy it, republish it, or use our name or logo to suggest we endorse something, without our written permission.

If you send us a message, we may use what you tell us to answer you and to run the school. If you ever send us a photograph, video or review and tell us we can use it, that is a separate conversation we will have with you first — we will not take anything from the contact form and publish it.

7. Links and content from elsewhere

Some parts of this site come from other companies — the Google map showing where we are, and links to our Facebook page. We do not control those services, we are not responsible for them, and their own terms and privacy policies apply when you use them. They are listed in full in our Privacy Policy.

8. The site is provided as it is

We work to keep this site accurate and available, but we cannot promise it will always be up, always be error-free, or always be current. Schedules and program details change, and there may be a gap before the site catches up. The site is provided “as is” and “as available”, without warranties of any kind, to the fullest extent the law allows.

If something on the site looks wrong, please tell us — call 804-323-1954 and we will fix it.

9. Limits on our responsibility

To the fullest extent allowed by Virginia law, American Karate Center is not liable for indirect, incidental or consequential losses arising out of your use of this website — for example a message that did not reach us, or a class time on the page that had changed.

To be clear about what this clause does not touch: it is about the website. It does not limit anything to do with physical training at the school, it does not affect any rights you have under your membership paperwork, and it does not exclude any liability that the law does not allow us to exclude.

10. Changes

We may update these terms. When we do we will change the effective date and version number at the top of this page, and the version shown there is the one that applies.

11. Which law applies

These terms are governed by the laws of the Commonwealth of Virginia. Any dispute about this website belongs in the state or federal courts serving Chesterfield County, Virginia.

If a court decides any part of these terms cannot stand, the rest of them still do.
